Forum Objectives

Objectives

The forum an opportunity provided by the UOB keep pace with global trends and practices in postgraduate programs through:

  1. Equipping postgraduate students with the scientific and professional skills they need to produce scientific papers for scientific publishing in their fields of specialty.
  2. Supporting postgraduate students in developing their confidence in their areas of specialty.
  3. Creating an opportunity in which postgraduates can exchange, share and develop research experiences among themselves regardless of the differences in their specialization.
  4. Emphasizing the significant role that scientific research plays in achieving the UOB’s strategic goals in promoting scientific publishing and expanding postgraduate programs.

Expected outcomes for students

  1. Students will be exposed to an authentic experience in presenting academic research and studies that will prepare them for their future in their specialty after they graduate from their postgraduate programme.
  2. Students will be able to develop a balanced and integrated vision towards knowledge and life through their direct interaction and exchange of experience with their peers in other specialisations.
  3. Students will be able to produce a publishable paper in their field of specialty.
  4. Students will gain advanced skills in academic presentation and publication.
  5. Students will develop a constructive personality based on integrating their knowledge and professional experiences.

Expected outcomes for the Deanship

  1. To accomplish academic, social, and professional exchange and integration of experiences among the postgraduate students at the university of Bahrain regardless of the differences in their academic specialisations.
  2. Emphasize the postgraduate studies’ level of scientific research at the University of Bahrain.
  3. Increase the process of scientific publication through cooperation between the faculty and their postgraduate students.
  4. Increase the level of academic practice and scientific research in the postgraduate programmes to the international level.
  5. Achieve total quality assurance through linking knowledge consumption with knowledge production as reflected in the produced papers by the students.
